Hello      Hej      Bonjour      你好       こんにちは      안녕하세요      नमस्ते      Hola       مرحبًا U

    Helloooooo

    My name is Charlie,
I’m a graphic / digital / communication designer based in Melbourne Victoria, Australia. My love for design and creativity comes from a strong desire to think outside the box.

I love the idea of ‘ideas’, and for me conceptualisation is the cornerstone and pride of my design process.
Ultimately, my goal as a designer is to approach each brief in a new way from the last, using my love for learning to have a ‘limitless’ creative potential mindset.
Whether its understanding new programs to attack a brief, or
becoming immersed with my target audience, design excites me
    drives me, and makes me.

      Music
      Made Me

Music has always been a big influence in my life, growing up playing instruments, dancing like a dork, and singing until I annoy my whole family.
Music by extension now even effects my workflow and my sense of self.

      Open House:
      Studio Payne Mock Briefing
      u

      2024

This mock briefing was delivered by Quan Payne: the founder and executive creative director of Studio Payne.

Annually, they complete a brief for Open House, a charity that promotes appreciation for architecture and the city through events like a free, annual weekend where buildings are opened to the public.

This briefing is then to refresh the Open House branding look and feel in 2024: where the premise/CTA was to “rediscover your city”.

My final design was inspired by the dynamics of going and exploring your city: with the initial idea looking at parkour, and the unique ways
that a built structure can be intepreted and interacted with.

However, post feedback, the final result is an exploration of air pathways traveling through buildings, and how this can effect the temperature of a building: therefore effecting the way in which people gravitate to certain areas within a building for their temperature preferences.

      Endless

      2024

Endless Creative is a techno music–based event organisation based in Melbourne, Victoria. Over the last three years, they have curated and developed unique audio-visual experiences, presenting both local and international music acts in distinctive and unforgettable ways.

This 2024 marketing campaign marked Victoria's first introduction to the F2F concept—a new DJing format where two DJs send tracks back and forth from separate decks. With an emphasis on the brand’s breakout opportunity to showcase hard-hitting acts, the campaign focused on both the brand and the concept itself, utilising typography and 3D modelling to communicate the idea and reinforce the brand’s presence within Victoria’s event scene.

      Walk It Off.

      2025

As part of a design-informed research project, "Walk It Off" is a brand identity for a program that promotes immersion in nature through hiking as a way to support better mental health.

This personal passion project was initially sparked by the importance of men’s mental health and the lack of comfortable spaces for men to open up and come out of their shells, particularly if they feel trapped in routine and their everyday environments.

In context, an array of marketing assets—including interpretive wayfinding signage, posters, and projection mapping installations—would be installed for Melbourne Design Week.

      2025 ISTD Submission
      u

      2025

The International Society of Typographic Design (ISTD) annually releases a series of briefs that seek to recognise and celebrate typographic excellence and design development.

This is my submission in response to their 2025 brief, “Books Still,” which explores the place and value of books in the 21st century.
My publication reimagines The Scarlet Plague as a highly interactive and immersive reading experience, prioritising engagement and reader involvement.

      Robot Specialist

      2024 – 2025

Robot Specialist is a Melbourne-based specialist company focused on supplying and servicing domestic robotic cleaning devices. Their value proposition centres on local stock, rapid dispatch, repair/parts support, and strong customer service. For customers seeking robotic cleaning solutions in Australia—particularly those wanting ongoing support
and service rather than just a one-off purchase—they present
a differentiated offering in the market.

As a part of my freelance business I completed a range of packaging, labelling, and infographic assets for tech reseller. In creating a ‘home-brand’ look and feel I helped develop packagin and infographic solutions that now personify the Robot Specialit homebrand range.

      Museums Victoria Membership

      2024 – Ongoing

In this project I worked with Museums Victoria, a state government entity, to work alongside the Museum Members team.

This brief requested the curation an updated contemporary brand extension of the membership program.

This project paved way for an excellent user research experience, working directly with the clients and their sales research team to develop a contemporary solution for the members identity, more specifically, looking closely at market trends, consumer/ visitor behaviour, and patterns in acquisition.
